    Core Direct Tax Role & responsibilities:
    • Making representation to CBDT / Finance Ministry.
    • Keeping abreast with the development in international tax sphere viz., BEPS Pillar 1 and Pillar 2, etc.
    • Tax Alerts on recent developments viz., Circulars, Notification, judicial pronouncements etc;
    • Monthly Newsletter capturing key updates during the month;
    • Union Budget analysis in the form of Booklet;
    • Firm’s Thought Leadership on various topics;
    • Firm’s Position papers on key contentious issues;
    • Giving technical inputs to the client team on the deliverables;
    • Providing opinion on the issues referred by the Client Team;
    • Submission of case studies for International Tax Review Ranking and Awards;
    • Managing Tax database and Library (including renewal of licenses);
    • Conducting technical training on pan-India basis;
    • Helping Leadership Team with presentation at various forums; 
    • Writing Articles for various publication house / association such as Taxmann, Taxsutra, CTC, etc.;
    • Acting as peer reviewer of Direct tax team;
    • Updating BDO India Policy(ies) on Tax;
    • Attending Risk related queries of Engagement Team and Independence Team;
    • Providing necessary guidance / assistance to leadership team / firm from risk perspective;
    • Assisting during Peer reviews from ICAI and other professional bodies / association perspective;
    • Review of global network policies (from risk perspective) and updating leadership team and DT team
