Responsibilities:
- Test Automation Development: Design and implement automated test scripts using industry-standard test automation frameworks and tools for end-to-end testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications.
- Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive test plans and execute end-to-end testing to validate system functionality, performance, and security.
- Bug Reporting and Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems, ensuring issues are communicated effectively with relevant stakeholders.
- Test Data Management: Create and manage test data required for automated test scenarios, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of test automation processes.
- Quality Assurance Collaboration: Work closely with QA team members to ensure test automation is seamlessly integrated into the overall testing process.
Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of test automation frameworks and hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Testing Concepts: Strong knowledge of software testing principles, testing types, and methodologies, including experience with API testing and database testing.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to identify potential issues and troubleshoot complex problems in automated test scripts.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough approach to testing, ensuring that all test scenarios are covered and validated.
Preferred Skills:
- Performance Testing: Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques to assess system performance under various conditions.
- Security Testing: Familiarity with security testing methodologies and tools for identifying potential vulnerabilities.
- API Testing: Experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Database Testing: Proficiency in database testing, including writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Agile/Scrum: Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Test Management: Familiarity with test management tools for test case management and reporting.
- Version Control: Experience using version control systems like Git for managing test scripts and test data.
