Vide Instruction No. 03/2023-GST dated 14 June 2023, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) had issued instructions for verification of GST registration applications. Post issuance of the above instruction, there have been a number of changes in the back office and due to an increasing number of taxpayer complaints in this regard, CBIC has issued a comprehensive Instruction No. 03/2025-GST dated 17 April 2025 to take care of the latest developments and to provide requisite clarifications to the tax authorities for processing of registration applications.
