On July 23, the Hon’ble Finance Minister presented the maiden Budget of the new coalition Government that laid emphasis on boosting employment, promoting skilling, and developing the MSMEs, among other key announcements.
Underscoring its commitment to long-term economic growth and sustainable development, the Government highlighted nine priority areas in the Budget: Productivity and Resilience in Agriculture, Employment and Skilling, Inclusive Human Resource Development, Social Justice, Urban Development, Energy Security, Infrastructure, Innovation, Research and Development, and Next Generation Reforms.
The inclusion of Energy Security as one of the priorities, announcement of new policies and measures, the continued impetus to the 'Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna' as introduced in the interim budget, and other initiatives reflect the Government’s pragmatic focus on boosting the Energy sector.
