Hiren Upadhyay

Hiren is Partner with the Business Advisory Services practice and operates out of  Mumbai office with 22 years of experience. 

Prior to joining BDO in India, he worked with an accounting firm as a partner in the risk advisory and consulting division. He also gained significant experience working with a Swedish firm, where he was responsible for accounts finalisation, banking, preparing MIS reports and budgets, decision-making, taxation, etc. 

He has worked across diverse industry verticals like FMCG, manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, steel, power, pharmaceuticals, real estate, EPC, logistics, information technology, media, etc. He has managed engagements in the areas of internal audits, the creation of standard operating procedures, strategic consulting, etc. 
His areas of expertise include internal and operational audits. He has worked on several consulting projects involving cost optimisation studies, business process improvement reviews, supply chain reviews, plant capacity assessment and optimisation studies, costing system implementation and review, forensics, designing standard operating procedures, etc. 

He has also successfully managed business valuations, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity placement-related advisory services for several clients.
